Five star ski service at Queenstown resort

Media Release from Millbrook Resort

Five star ski service at Queenstown resort

The services of premier ski hire operator Browns Ski Shop are back by popular demand for the fourth year in a row at Queenstown’s five-star Millbrook resort.

Hotel guests and Arrowtown locals can order all the gear they need to hit the slopes by visiting the Browns customer service desk seven days a week.

The desk has been set up in the Pro Shop next to reception, and between 3.30pm and 6pm a   Browns ski technician is on hand to assist with hiring skis and snowboards, boot fittings, poles, helmets and clothing.

Gear is ready for pick up from 7.30am the following morning, and guests can even have everything delivered to their rooms, all at normal ski hire rates.

This ultimate door to door service is often requested by repeat guests, and at the end of their stay they simply leave the gear for collection.

“It saves guests and their families having to drive into Queenstown to source their equipment, or waiting until they get up on the mountain,” says Millbrook Sales and Marketing Manager Sarah Stacey. “It’s an absolutely superb service.”

Browns Ski Shop co-owner Kris Vermeir says it’s the perfect arrangement for Browns to have a presence at Millbrook.

“Browns has a strong 28 year history of assisting skiers and snowboarders.  We pride ourselves on our expert boot fitting and tailor our ski range to suit New Zealand fields.

“Being able to offer the extra level of service and convenience to Millbrook guests has resulted in regular repeat business for us so it’s a win-win situation all round.  We’re happy, Millbrook’s happy and, most importantly, our clients are happy!”

Millbrook resort has recently been named among the top 25 hotels in the Asia Pacific region for the fourth time and is one of only seven New Zealand properties to make the list.
