Media Release

Glassons secures top Australian fashion buyer

Hallenstein Glasson Holdings Limited has appointed a leading Australian retail fashion executive as Glassons’ new General Manager of Merchandise.

Chief Executive Shayne Quanchi today announced the appointment of Tali Kalb, former Merchandising Director of Jeanswest in Australia.

Ms Quanchi says, “We’re thrilled to be appointing someone of Tali’s calibre and experience to the key Glassons buying role.  Buying is a crucial function in the fashion business, particularly in tough trading conditions.  The right buying direction can make or break a brand and we’re delighted to have Tali on board to lead Glassons’ overall fashion direction into the future.”

Ms Kalb has spent the past seven years at Jeanswest, initially as the womenswear product manager and more recently as Merchandise Director covering the whole business including menswear, womenswear, denim and accessories.  She had responsibility for the whole Jeanswest range.  Prior to that she was Design Manager for addidas, demonstrating her twin strengths in product and design.
