Hirepool Appoints Five New Regional Managers

Auckland, 05 August 2008: New Zealand hire equipment leader, Hirepool, has appointed five new Regional Managers, as part an organisational restructuring.

The new Regional Managers are Mark Gregory (Auckland North), Dave Constable (Central North Island), Paul Raymer (Wellington, Manawatu & Hawkes Bay), Ross Dale (Upper South Island) and Steve Chave (Lower South Island). They are responsible for the performance of all branches and business units in their territory with each reporting to Mark Powell who has been appointed as General Manager Hirepool Limited.

Hirepool canvassed a wide range of external candidates, but all five are internal appointments which Mark Powell says reflects the positive executive and leadership development programmes at Hirepool.

“Being a national business has taught us that there is no standard model. Every region is different and the demands of our customers differ accordingly,” he says. “So the new Regional Managers will have much greater self determination to evolve ‘their business’ to best service their markets.”

As part of the restructure, former Hirepool Managing Director Tenby Powell has become Chief Executive of the newly created New Zealand Rental Group, formerly Rakino Group. This comprises cornerstone business Hirepool plus Port-A-Loo, Henderson Rentals, Barricading Solutions and Castles Marquee Hire.
