BP Ultimate the fuel behind NZ Motorsport

24th September 2008

News Release

BP Ultimate the fuel behind New Zealand Motorsport

Today BP New Zealand announced that they have entered into a sponsorship agreement with The MotorSport Company Limited.

The sponsorship agreement means BP Ultimate will become the official fuel for the 2008/2009 MotorSport New Zealand Championship Race Series, with all vehicles competing being fuelled by BP Ultimate.

BP Ultimate will be the power behind the crowd favourite, the New Zealand V8s this season as they contest seven Championship events throughout the country.

BP Offer Development Manager Nicki Nicol said “Motorsport New Zealand’s Championship series will be a great chance for one of New Zealand’s highest octane fuels to shine. We are thrilled to be involved with the series and look forward to lots of high octane action this season.”

BP Ultimate has a guaranteed 98 octane rating. Higher octane fuel allows cars with high compression engines, and performance management systems, to optimize combustion. For motorsport drivers that means improved power and enhanced performance.

The first championship event, the Fujitsu 200, will be held in Taupo from 3-5 October. Tickets will be available from participating BP stores from Monday 15th September.
