‘First Glass’ Event at Crowne Plaza

‘First Glass’ Event at Crowne Plaza

Auckland, 11 November 2008 – Fine wine flowed and a great time was had by all at the New Zealand International Wine Show Awards dinner held at Crowne Plaza Auckland.

“Everyone had a fantastic night and we’ll be back next year,” says Kingsley Wood, First Glass Wines and Spirits, Takapuna.

“I have arranged and run probably 20 or more functions at Crowne Plaza Auckland. Its central location, excellent adjoining car parking and size of ballroom have made it attractive for all the various wine functions.”

Wood adds that he loves the venue for a dinner function because the mezzanine level is “one of the best for pre-dinner cocktails in the country”.

“This year, everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful and contributed to the success of our event. The food for a large group of diners was exceptional. We received nothing but extremely positive comments from our guests and of course this was an important ingredient in a wonderful evening, enjoyed by all,”he says.

“The food, service and venue are high quality and in comparison with other nearby hotels the hotel comes out very favourably in terms of overall cost.”

Terry Holt, Crowne Plaza Auckland Business Development Director says the hotel is perfect for events such as these and this successful dinner highlights the versatility of Crowne Plaza.

“The hotel is a popular event and conference venue for small as well as large groups, catering seamlessly for both.”

With 10 meeting rooms offering a versatile 14 configurations - 4 of them with natural light- as well as a ballroom catering for up to 500 people, Crowne Plaza Auckland is a popular conference and event venue.

The positioning of Crowne Plaza Auckland’s function spaces enables delegates to move seamlessly between rooms for greater conferencing efficiencies. The Aria restaurant and bar is also conveniently located on the ground floor of the hotel with ample and easy access from all function spaces.
