Hampsta announces retail partners for Christmas 2009

Hoyts Cinemas, Postie Plus, Babycity, Gemtime Jeweller, CD & DVD Store and Marbecks are the latest partners to join the Hampsta Christmas savings card programme, joining foundation partners The Mad Butcher and Liquorland.

Gary Alway, General Manager of Hampsta said he was extremely pleased to have the groups on board, “the brand offering would mean the company could provide true value and variety for Christmas 2009.”

“Our overarching goal is to build a Christmas savings programme that gives customers more.”

“We have launched with an aggressive comparative advertising campaign against the hamper companies because we do not believe those schemes offer hard working New Zealanders value for money or security.”

Darryl Evans, Chief Executive of Mangere Budgeting & Family Support Services in a NZ Herald article (Jan 18 2008) labelled Chrisco a “ruddy nightmare”.

“Everyone wants to do the right thing by their families at Christmas time. Hampsta is a cost-effective, secure and easy way for people to provide their families with a great Christmas. In fact we see it as the perfect way to save that bit extra for anyone who just wants to enjoy the festive season,” said Gary Alway.

“We are the only Christmas savings programme to deposit our customers funds with Public Trust. We provide our customers with access to a way to buy what they want, when they want, pretty much wherever they live in the country.”

“We are clearly doing something right, because it seems every man and his brand is climbing into the Christmas Club market.”

“We want people who are considering an alternative saving scheme to Hampsta, to ask themselves the following questions:

• Can I choose my own goods?
• Will I be paying true retail price?
• Will I have the freedom to buy what I want when I want it?
• Will I have access to my Christmas savings over the entire holiday period?
• Are there extra fees and charges?
• Are you assured that your money will be there at Christmas?”

“We believe the Hampsta card offers the best combination of value, choice, convenience, control and security.”

Hampsta was established in March 2008.
