The Cake Stall, Royal Oaks boutique bakery, is pleased to announce our brand new in store look. The Cake Stall, formerly Brown Sugar Kitchen, has cultivated a steady following since opening almost five years ago at its location by the Royal Oak roundabout and due to customer demand the store has undergone a major revamp and extended its premises.

The cosy, retro, style of the new store epitomises the qualities The Cake Stall has become known for, and customers are now able to sit in comfortable surrounds while the scent of freshly baked goods wafts from the stores adjacent kitchen.

Antique wood furnishings fabrics and vintage wallpaper have been sourced from Auckland’s finest home wares boutiques and antique stores, giving the store its individual flair. Customers can now browse the retail section of the store at ease and will likely be tempted by the old fashioned loaves, biscuits, slices and preserves on offer. A select range of baking accessories has been sourced from around the world and customers will no doubt feel a rush of nostalgia when they see the retro cake tins and cupcake stands from acclaimed British designers Simon drew and Emma Bridgewater.

The Cake Stall is the brainchild of baker and owner Dianne Fraser, formerly of Rocket Kitchen and Ponsonby's The Bake Shop. Dianne has more than a decade’s worth of experience in the baking industry. She and her team of talented bakers aim to bring the public a much desired taste of home with their traditional treats like Belgian biscuits and bread and butter puddings which bring back memories of baking with grandma.

The Cake Stall is continually expanding its wedding cake services to cater to demand which has grown from their well established reputation in this area. The Cake Stall’s decadent wedding cakes and tiers of cupcakes are frequently seen at Auckland’s premiere wedding destinations. Furthermore all wedding cakes are personally overseen by Dianne Fraser, from consultation to the final assembly, making sure your wedding cake is completely unforgettable

Dedicated followers will be pleased to hear that the 2009 revamp is the first of several exciting new initiatives from the ever growing Cake Stall brand, they will also be introducing onsite, and family orientated cooking classes in coming months and are continually expanding their range of packaged products and cake accessories.

The Cake Stall’s dedicated bakers will be extra busy in the coming weeks, making ‘loud shirt’ biscuits in support of The Hearing House charity’s Loud Shirt Day on Friday the 18th of September. This is the perfect way to sample one of The Cake Stall’s fun treats and support a good cause.
