sister – Fusion Sparkling Rosé

Soljans Estate Winery in Kumeu proudly presents the release of the first ever Fusion Sparkling Rosé. This delightful sparkling rosé is a welcome addition to their hugely popular sparkling range including Fusion sparkling muscat and Legacy Méthode Traditionnelle.

Soljans produces New Zealand’s most awarded sparkling wine, Fusion Sparkling Muscat.

Often quoted as being NZ’s finest version of Asti Spumante, this popular sparkling muscat has a swag of medals to its name, the most recent being Gold at the 2009 Royal
Easter Show. Due to Fusion’s huge popularity, the team at Soljans decided it was time to indulge their customer’s demands and tempt their palates with another delicious sparkling wine.

Owner Tony Soljan has wanted to have a partner for the Fusion Muscat for many years, and after several trials and combinations of grapes, the perfect blend has been selected using the free run juice of Pinotage and Muscat grapes, both grown in Gisborne. “I’m particularly pleased with the addition of this new wine to our portfolio and I have high hopes that it will follow on the success of Fusion Muscat at the wine shows. Both my daughters love Rosé so they are thrilled there’s now a sparkling as well as the Two Sisters Rosé for them to enjoy.”

Winemaker Mark Compton describes this new sparkling wine as having “an enticing rose petal colour and delightful aromas of red cherries and strawberries to tempt the palate.

It’s an excellent aperitif, or would match fruit desserts such as strawberry pavlova or summer puddings. This wine contains approx 50g/litre residual sugar, which gives great balance to the bright red fruits.”

The fruit for this new wine comes from vineyards near Ormond in the beautiful wine growing region of Gisborne. Soljans have been sourcing Muscat and Pinotage from these carefully managed vineyards for many years now, and the grapes have proven to be a recipe for success.

Fusion Rosé is the 3rd sparkling wine in the Soljans award winning range. Other wines are Legacy Méthode Traditionnelle and Fusion Sparkling Muscat.
