Local Directory Property Services Trumps Yellow At Auckland Home Show
At the Auckland
Home Show New Zealand owned company Cervin Publishing Ltd is
promoting its 3rd annual Property Services Directory
containing over 400 pages with 8,000 businesses and 1000
detailed business profiles. And vanished without a trace is
their rival at the Home Show – Yellow frontdoor.
Cervin
Publishing Ltd attributes its success to skilful
relationship building in the more competitive building and
property market and to its value-for-money target rather
than mass market distribution.
“As a small local business we are more responsive and accessible to our advertisers and directory users. We work alongside and build long-term relationships with our advertisers in ways a large corporate can’t” says Dr Carmel Cervin, General Manager of Cervin Publishing.
The silver lining in the building slowdown is that tradespeople are actively hunting for work, giving property owners the ability to shop around for the best services and quotes.
“As our directory meets the needs of home owners, property managers and businesses presenting a professional image, the highly competitive market is helping the performance and growth of Property Services,” says Dr Cervin.
“And for advertisers, our significant targeted audience provides far greater value for dollar advertising than mass market advertising.”
With over 100,000 Property Services directories printed and now online at propertyservices.co.nz, Cervin Publishing Ltd has targeted frequent users in three sectors – homeowners that are building, renovating or selling; residential and commercial property maintenance and the building and property industry.
Property Services, for the third year running, is distributed free at the Auckland Home Show with many visitors now recognising the brand and eager to receive the current edition of this useful directory.
“The old-fashioned telephone book is falling out of favour because it tries to be all things to all people. By being specialised our directory is far more useful to consumers than the generic Yellow Pages,” says Dr Cervin
Three years on since Cervin Publishing Ltd went head to head with Yellow for the property sectors advertising dollar, the growth of Property Services and the demise of Yellow frontdoor, shows that in the David and Goliath type battle, David is winning through.
“With 20 years experience in niche directories, we know how to deliver a quality, accurate resource to consumers and advertisers and we are delighted with the industry’s response to Property Services,” says Dr Carmel Cervin.
