NZ Entrepreneurs Tempted Into Online Business

NZ Entrepreneurs Tempted Into Online Business

An Auckland web hosting business is coaxing entrepreneurs out of the recession and into online business start-ups.

Local North Shore firm, Cheeky Monkey Hosting, has witnessed a significant increase in small business owners launching new online ventures.

Jaron Phillips of Cheeky Monkey Hosting says "often an online venture is sparked by a small idea and leads to a website - numbers of new sites are up 100% on last month already".

"New website launches in the first three quarters of 2009 indicated a noticeable slowdown, but that period has appeared to have past and we have turned the corner to recovery."

“The time is obviously right and those that have been waiting on the sideline have seen some blue sky on the horizon” says Mr Phillips.

As a kick start to temp those that may have been procrastinating, the web host is offering 50 cent domain names with hosting to allow website owners to reserve their brand or business name.
