Mercury Energy Customers to Get Exclusive Movie Deals at Skycity Cinemas

Mercury Energy customers now have access to exclusive movie deals at SKYCITY Cinemas for just $1 a month through the new Mercury Energy Movie Club.

Mercury Energy has teamed up with SKYCITY Cinemas to offer Aucklanders - who have their electricity or gas accounts with Mercury - fantastic year-round offers such as $20 Gold Class tickets, a $28 Family Pass for 1 Adult and 2 children, and special $10 movie days.

Mercury Energy Movie Club members also have access to exclusive offers at SKYCITY Cinemas’ Candy Bars. To celebrate the launch, there’s a free small popcorn with any movie ticket purchased before the end of the year, as well as an ongoing selection of movie specific offers ranging from two-for-one beer and wine offers, to discounted ice creams, upsized drinks and free coffee.

Mercury Energy General Manager James Munro says, “Research shows that going to the movies is one of the most popular recreational activities for our customers so we’re delighted to be able to deliver them enhanced value for just a dollar a month, added to their bill. Mercury Energy Movie Club customers who go to a Gold Class movie with a friend just once a month on a Monday or Tuesday will save $228 a year on their ticket price alone.”

SKYCITY Cinemas General Manager Jane Hastings says, “We are delighted to partner with Mercury Energy to provide more New Zealanders with more reasons to enjoy movies”.

Joining the Mercury Energy Movie Club is easy. Just visit www.mercurymovieclub.co.nz, enter your name and account number and you’re off to the movies.
