Four Working Papers Published by Treasury
The Treasury has published four working papers on its website today. They are:
1. A comparison of several different ways that are used to measure New Zealanders’ saving rates, and the different results from each.
2. An assessment of the extent and composition of household debt in New Zealand.
3. A description of a model of domestic housing that can be used to analyse the impact of housing policy proposals. The model includes rental and owner-occupied housing.
4. An examination of management of the Crown’s exposure to financial risk, with a conclusion that the government should do more to measure, monitor, and control its exposure to risk.
The views, opinions, findings, and conclusions or recommendations expressed in working papers published by the Treasury are strictly those of the authors. The working papers do not necessarily reflect the views of the Treasury or the Government. The papers are presented not as policy, but with a view to inform and stimulate wider debate.
