New Model Opens New SAP Solution Delivery Channel

New Partner-Hosted Model Opens New SAP Solution Delivery Channel

Local SAP partner CIBER offers hosted SAP® Business All-in-One solutions for midsize customers

SAP New Zealand today announced the availability of hosted offerings from its channel partners for midsize companies, providing a new delivery channel for SAP solutions for mid-size customers in Australia and New Zealand.

SAP integration partner CIBER is the first New Zealand partner to offer hosting as an alternative to the traditional on-premise deployment option. The hosted offerings allow midsize companies to implement and run SAP® Business All-in-One solutions without the need to hire and train dedicated IT staff to implement and manage the software. SAP Business All-in-One is comprehensive and flexible software for midsize companies with deep industry best practices built-in.

“SAP’s strategy is to deliver our software in any way the customer wants to consume it”, said Helen Masters, General Manager, Growth Markets SAP ANZ. “That could be any combination of on-premise or on-demand, on the device of their choice. With this announcement we are now enabling SMEs, via our partners, to have their SAP software delivered on-demand.

“We’re excited to be working with CIBER in New Zealand, who will offer customers hosted SAP Business All-in-One. Partners are a key to SME success, and we are very keen to grow the ecosystem of partners who can benefit from being able to offer a greater variety of consumption models.”

The newly available hosted offerings mean that SAP channel partners take on the responsibility for application hosting and management, infrastructure maintenance and software upgrades.

CIBER will offer local customers its global CIBER Flex solution, which provides organisations with access to the best-in-class SAP ERP applications with minimised up-front costs and in-house IT requirements.

“In the current market, mid-sized companies are under growing pressure to focus on the products and services that best meet the demands of their individual markets,” explained Guenter Winter, CEO of CIBER Australia and New Zealand. “As one of the only SAP channel partners in New Zealand to offer this subscription-based option, CIBER is proud to offer mid-sized organisations greater flexibility so they can run best-in-class SAP ERP, industry-leading solutions that best fit their unique IT needs. With Flex, mid-sized organisations can channel resources on making their business transparent and sustainable while executing growth strategies.”

Hosted offerings from SAP channel partners help customers minimise up-front capital investments in acquiring IT infrastructure and reduce the ongoing operating costs typically associated with managing software solutions. They further enable customers to better focus on their core business, products and services that best meet the demands of their individual markets. In turn, midsize customers can focus resources on differentiating themselves from their competitors, executing on their growth strategies and making their businesses more transparent and sustainable.
