Contact Energy Extends Commitment To Fly Buys

Contact Energy has extended its commitment to New Zealand’s leading coalition loyalty programme, Fly Buys.

Fly Buys Partners, include more than 50 of the country’s leading retail and service companies such as Noel Leeming, BNZ, Shell, Visique, Mitre 10 and New World.

CEO Andy Symons says, “I’m thrilled that Contact who has been with Fly Buys since 2001, has reaffirmed its commitment to the programme. Over the years we’ve developed a unique cluster of companies in almost every New Zealand retail and service sector, bringing extraordinary benefits to Members and Partner companies alike.”

Contact Energy Marketing and Channel Director Tim Harrington explains, “Fly Buys is a loyalty programme that continues to drive customers to our company. After nine years it’s evident that rewarding loyal customers with Fly Buys Points really works for our business.”

Contact is the only electricity and gas supplier that offers Fly Buys to residential customers (excludes LPG and prepaid electricity meters). The collection rate is 1 Fly Buys Point for every $50.

In the past year alone, 203,300 rewards have been sent to Contact customers. Since Contact joined the programme, 2,077,800 rewards have been redeemed by Fly Buys Members with Contact Energy.

Contact Energy, Fly Buys and Touchcast recently created an online game Energy Boost (www.energyboost.co.nz) to highlight the link between the two companies and get Fly Buys Members to join Contact Energy.
