NZ PMI, PSI surveys cancelled for February after quake

NZ manufacturing, services surveys cancelled for February after quake, BNZ, BusinessNZ say

March 1 (BusinessDesk) – The BNZ-BusinessNZ manufacturing and services surveys have been cancelled for February because of the Christchurch earthquake.

The PMI and PSI were to have been released on March 10 and March 14 respectively.

Disruptions from the quake “would have impacted on the data, with the priorities of many respondents within and outside the Canterbury region likely focused elsewhere,” the surveys’ authors said in a statement.

They will resume for March, with the PMI due out on April 14 and the PSI on April 18.
