One Million Coupons Grabbed

One Million Coupons Grabbed

After just ten months of operation New Zealand's favourite daily deal website, GrabOne, has sold its one millionth coupon.

The coupon, a 61% off Canvas Print in the Northland region, was snapped up at 5.36pm on Thursday 28 April.

"This is a real milestone for us," says Shane Bradley, GrabOne CEO and Founder. "It's testament to the dedication and innovation the GrabOne team strive for on a daily basis. The past ten months have been hectic, challenging and a whole lot of fun but we wouldn't be here without the New Zealand businesses we've partnered with along the way - and the Kiwis who have been so quick to embrace this new way of experiencing their cities."

Since the first offer of $4 tickets to Event Cinemas in Auckland in July 2010, GrabOne has expanded to another 12 regions across New Zealand, started two new verticals websites (GrabOneBottle and GrabOneTee), grown one of the largest Facebook pages in the country and launched in eight cities in Australia. They are also launching in Ireland on 9 May.

"We've had deals that have sold over 20,000 vouchers - and that's just in one city. We've had deals where we've sold none. The market here is busy now with similar sites but we're striving to offer the best deals for Grabbies and businesses across the country. We love that we're a New Zealand company that is expanding overseas - it's a great position to be in."

Bradley puts GrabOne's success down to the wide selection of deals, their focus on excellent customer service and their ability to innovate within the constantly evolving digital landscape.

"Our use of Facebook and Twitter has been pivotal in helping us achieve not only a high level of brand awareness but a level of customer service that is second to none," says Bradley. "Social media allows us to converse and engage with customers in a relatively new format which presents its own risks but are outweighed by the real time resolutions offered. They're not just buying an awesome deal, they're also getting a service that than can trust."

GrabOne is launching an exciting new project in two weeks time - all will be revealed soon.
