Hudson Appoints Wellington General Manager
Wellington, New Zealand - 16 May, 2011 –
Leading recruitment and human resource consulting business, Hudson, today announced that Mike Dickson has been appointed General Manager - Wellington.
Mike joins from
Hudson Scotland, where he has been a Director leading
two
key practices: Accounting & Finance; and Sales, Marketing &
communications. Mike has 15 years recruitment experience,
including
over a decade with Hudson. He has previously
held Director level
responsibility for Legal, HR,
Technical & Engineering, and Supply Chain & Procurement.
"Mike brings strong leadership skills, a passion for business development and excellent commercial skills to this role," said Marc Burrage, Hudson's Executive General Manager. "He has a strong understanding of the public sector, having worked with several government clients in the UK."

Mike will head the successful Wellington leadership team of Sarah Morris (Accounting and Finance), John Coventry (ICT), Brian Cowper (Public Sector) and Janie Scott (Office Support). The business has enjoyed significant growth and a strong start to 2011, and Mike is looking forward to further growing the business, including increasing headcount of the team by an additional 20 percent by the end of this year.
Mike will transition into the role with support from Marc Burrage, who has been caretaking the Wellington role.
Prior to recruitment, Mike worked for several years in marketing in the FMCG sector. He has a BA (Hons) in business studies with marketing from the University of Stirling and holds a post-graduate diploma (DipM) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Mike has moved to New Zealand with his wife, son and daughter. He is a keen hill runner, adventure racer, and golfer - and is looking forward to exploring Wellington in all of these capacities!
