Slingshot Makes Land To Mobile Calling Affordable With BIGMOUTH Mobile Packages

Slingshot is leading the way as one of the first telecommunications companies to pass on to customers savings from the recent Mobile Termination Rate cuts, with the announcement of its new reduced-rate land to mobile calling packages.

Slingshot, which already offers super cheap landline and mobile per-minute rates, is offering even further savings of up to 80% with its BIGMOUTH Mobile packages.

For example, it’s BIG MOUTH Mobile Pack which costs $40 for 500 minutes means the average price for a phone call is only 8 cents per minute! Over and above the cost benefits, the packages allow calls to any network, unlike other major network whose best rates apply only to mobile to mobile calls on their own networks.

“We are making sure we deliver on our position as a company that offers customers significant savings – compared to other Telecommunications providers” says Slingshot general manager Scott Page.

Mr Page says the new packages will actually make it cheaper for customers to use homelines to call mobiles, rather than using their mobile phones which often mean customers are restricted to calling only a few mates. “Customers can think about the conversation they are having with friends and family, rather than the cost of the call.

“If you don’t know what you are paying when you use your homephone to call a mobile phone, then now is the time to check – One large fixed line Telco charges as much as 55cents per minute to call many mobile phones, and on some prepay mobile plans, customers can pay as much as 89cpm” he says.

Slingshot’s BIGMOUTH Mobile Calling Packs offer reduced rate calls from landlines to mobiles on any network, meaning customers can make calls for as low as 8c per minute to any NZ mobile, any time of day.

BIGMOUTH Mobile 100 costs $12 per month and includes 100 minutes, BIGMOUTH Mobile 200 costs $20 per month and includes 200 minutes and Big Mouth Mobile 500 which costs $40 per month and includes 500 minutes

Customers can choose between BIGMOUTH’s $12, $20 or $40 monthly plans with no additional contract and can upgrade or cancel at the end of their monthly billing period
