Time Target’s latest software, improving staff efficiency

Metlifecare leads the way for retirement lifestyle villages throughout New Zealand by installing Time Target’s latest software, improving staff management efficiency.

Speaking recently to Time Target's client Metlifecare, Project Manager Michael Finlay told us about his experience installing Time Target into their business, which specialises in the owning and managing of retirement lifestyle villages throughout New Zealand. As with any new implementation of a system within a large organisation, there was a lot of energy invested into assessing company processes and how they needed to adapt, shorten and improve systems and this was done with the assistance of the Operations and Support Office.

Colleen Tang, the General Manager for Human Resources advised "We started the roll-out of Time Target in early October of 2010 after a successful three month pilot at one of the more complex retirement villages." There has been a big shift for Metlifecare as they have faced lots of challenges within the organisation along with integrating and automating the data between Time Target and their payroll system PayGlobal.

As with any organisational change, there were high expectations of what Time Target could achieve in helping Metlifecare to streamline their internal systems and gain better efficiencies. With the benefits of changing over from a paper-based system to an automated one and expecting huge results they were not disappointed, now they had the ability to view actual costs for their staff against any variances that had occurred instantly. The managers found that the move from what was a lengthy fortnightly payroll check over to a smaller almost daily check of attendance a challenge in some instances, but now several months on, the benefits are far outweighing any initial hesitancy and now, without exception they are operating a more accurate, informed and efficient payroll.

"The training and ongoing support have been a huge component of the rollout and there will be more work involved in improving our business processes as we move to linking more data through to our ERP systems. For now we are very happy with the improvements made from installing Time Target into our specialised business and will continue to streamline our systems." advised Michael.
