Fulton Hogan CEO Bill Perry dies suddenly

August 1 (BusinessDesk) – Bill Perry, chief executive of Fulton Hogan Ltd., died suddenly last weekend, the closely held construction company said.

Perry was rushed to Christchurch hospital on Saturday suffering an aggressive meningococcal infection, and died later that day, the company said in a statement. Perry had taken over the reins of the company in 2008.

“The tough economic conditions caused by the global financial crisis on our contracting business and the Christchurch earthquakes showcased his outstanding leadership,” managing director Nick Miller said.

Perry is survived by his wife and three children. A funeral service will be held in Christchurch on Friday.
