Telecom announces its lowest ever consumer national mobile calling rate

Telecom has announced one of the lowest national mobile calling rates for residential customers in New Zealand with the launch of its new bundled plan, Total Home Mobile.

Customers using the Total Home Mobile plan can call from their nominated XT mobile to landlines or mobiles on any network in New Zealand for just 29 cents per minute, as well as send up to 300 text messages per month to any network.

Alongside one of the sharpest mobile calling rates in the country, the new Total Home Mobile plan also includes your home line, calling and 20GB of broadband data at home, so customers can enjoy ample online video and web surfing.

Telecom Retail Chief Marketing Officer, Kieren Cooney, said the new Total Home Mobile plan was created in response to strong demand from existing customers who wanted to see best value rates when they opted for all of their services with Telecom.

"This year, around 30,000 Telecom customers have already chosen to combine their mobile, landline and broadband services on one bill.

"So we've responded to that demand by creating Total Home Mobile, which combines one of New Zealand's lowest national mobile calling rates and 300 text messages, with the convenience of having landline, mobile and broadband services all on one bill.

"We expect this new plan will appeal strongly to prepaid mobile customers who are ready to stop managing their mobile phone account with top ups and data extras, and move to the convenience of having one bill for all of their telecommunications services.

"It's also an attractive option for customers looking to upgrade their CDMA phone to XT. With the low 29 cents per minute rate, they can take advantage of a great value offer on their mobile, landline and broadband services at the same time."
