BP Drops Petrol Prices Again
BP has dropped the price of petrol today by 3 cents per litre. This follows a drop in diesel prices last week and falls in both petrol and diesel during July.
BP Managing Director Mike McGuinness said 91 and 95 and BP Ultimate 98 unleaded petrol, and BP Ultimate Diesel, had now fallen 6 cents since 21 July.
Petrol prices at most BP-owned service stations are:
91 Unleaded $ 203.9 cents per litre 95 Unleaded $ 211.9 cents per litre BP Ultimate Diesel $144.9 cents per litre
“In recent weeks the strong New Zealand dollar has meant we’ve been able to drop prices at the pump. Although the dollar is no longer climbing the price of refined fuel has fallen and that’s allowed us to pass on this latest price decrease.
“BP welcomes the opportunity to pass on these saving to our customers,” he said.
“Pump prices are made up of a number of factors, including the international price of petrol and diesel, the US/NZ exchange rate, and taxes and levies. We monitor these costs all the time and we’re committed to passing on any decreases in those costs to motorists as quickly as possible.”
