Harcourts acknowledged the successes of its top performing Northern Sales Consultants in the Harcourts Quarterly Awards 2011/2012 ceremony last week reporting growth aligned with strategies for the northern region real estate market. Harcourts Group NZ CEO, Hayden Duncan says these strengths combined with the unrelenting belief that Harcourts will dominate the northern real estate market do create a daunting outlook for its competitors.

“If we look at the Northern Region, overall, written volumes were up 23%; NAI Harcourts, our Commercial division, saw written volumes up 120% while our Property Management division has seen amazing growth off the back of a very successful radio marketing campaign growing 16.5% and 11% nationally, now managing the largest portfolio in New Zealand of over 14,000 properties.”

“Harcourts Market Share for the region has risen 0.5% in just a quarter, coupled with a record 18% market share for the group, the highest ever seen in the Northern Region.” Other regions have also experienced growth with reports of steady increase in the Wellington Region; consistently hold over 60% in Christchurch and Harcourts Within these areas the top performers for the quarter were Matty Ma of Albany, Auckland; Glenn Green of Bell Block, Wellington; Mary Turnbull of Papanui, Christchurch and Sue Hooper of Cherrywood, Tauranga.

“When you compare our success with that of Harcourts’ leading competitor who has recently reported having the smallest number of properties on their books in four years, our vision and the support and technology behind that vision is proof our strategy is working.” “Looking ahead to the next quarter, we have the Rugby World cup, an election and a changing economy. There are business opportunities and good buying for those visiting and residing in New Zealand and positivity is starting to return as reported by Harcourts’ finance division, Mortgage Express, who have experienced a 70% increase in mortgage applications over the last quarter.”
