New GM for Crowne Plaza Queenstown

Media release from Crowne Plaza Queenstown

New GM for Crowne Plaza Queenstown

Taking up a prime role at a premier Queenstown hotel, career hotelier Reinier Eulink is looking forward to his new role of General Manager at Crowne Plaza Queenstown.

Reinier, originally from Holland, takes up the reins at the centrally located, iconic resort hotel on the 15th August as the next move in his ‘rising star’ career path which has included stints at Hilton London Heathrow, Holiday Inn Wellington and Holiday Inn Christchurch.

He will be joined in Queenstown by his wife and young child and the entire family is delighted to be embarking on an adventure in "a divine part of the world".

“Queenstown is one of the more beautiful places we have travelled to and I absolutely relish the opportunity to join Crowne Plaza Queenstown's team,” he says. “The hotel is superb, there’s a fantastic team in place and the future outlook is promising.”

Meanwhile, for outgoing General Manager Matt Anderson, who is relocating to his hometown of Canberra, the end of his tenure in Queenstown is bittersweet.

“Crowne Plaza Queenstown was my first role as a General Manager and I’ve enjoyed an amazing learning curve – which included learning to run in high heels during the Winter Festival drag race. I’ve loved working with a young and enthusiastic team and my wife and children have enjoyed the Queenstown lifestyle.”

While Matt is excited to be moving closer to family and close friends he concedes that they will miss the exceptional scenery, skiing and Pinot Noir, Queenstown attributes Reinier is looking forward to embracing.

“I’m delighted to be stepping into Matt’s shoes, even if they are high heeled for one occasion a year.”
