Strong channel growth drives SMX appointment


Auckland, 22 August 2011.


New Zealand cloud-based email security and platform as a service provider SMX Limited has appointed former HP Market Development Manager Telanches Sun to the position of Partner Account Manager in New Zealand.

Reporting to Mike Murphy, SMX Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Australia and New Zealand, Telanches Sun's mandate is to manage and grow SMX's reseller channel which now comprises 114 partner companies. He is responsible for recruiting new resellers in New Zealand, as well as managing existing partner relationships.

Before joining SMX, Telanches Sun spent nearly four years at HP as a Market Development Manager - Value Products. Here Telanches gained significant experience in product management and promotion and go-to-market strategies. He was also responsible for competitor and product SWOT analysis.

Prior to HP, Telanches Sun honed his analytical, research, reporting, managerial, communication and consultancy skills as a Market Analyst at information technology market research company IDC.

"Telanches' extensive experience at both HP and IDC has given him an advanced understanding of the sales process, development and execution of go-to-market strategy and product management," Mike Murphy says.
