ASB Further Expands Services in Christchurch

New temporary branch on Marshland Road, Shirley

ASB is opening a new temporary branch on Marshland Road, Shirley to support the banking needs of local customers. The new temporary portacom will offer a full range of banking services during the completion of reconstruction of ASB’s permanent branch in the nearby Palms Mall.

The ASB Marshland Road Portacom opens for business at 9am on Monday, 27 August and will be available for customers seven days a week, 9am - 4:30pm.

“We are establishing this temporary branch to serve our customers in the interim period before our refurbished branch in the Palms Mall is completed for re-opening on 19 December 2011,” explains Grant Gilbert, ASB's General Manager Branch Banking, based in Christchurch. “Given the continuing disruption to everyday services as a result of the earthquakes we understand the need for our customers in the area to have convenient access to ASB banking services.”

The temporary branch will be staffed by the people who will comprise the permanent ASB Palms Branch team, led by Branch Manager Dan Grafton.

On Friday, 2 September the ASB Portacom in Parklands will relocate to 1005 Ferry Road, Ferrymead, where it will open for business on Monday, 12 September.

The Ferrymead Portacom will be a six-day branch, operating from 9am – 4:30pm, Monday to Saturday.
