Grabone Resonates With Merchants And Customers
In just 13 months GrabOne has promoted 12,000 deals across 5,700 businesses to reach almost 1.7 million customers. The model which has already saved New Zealanders over $75 million is proving overwhelmingly popular for merchants and customers alike.

A recent survey conducted by GrabOne found 99 per cent of customers who’d bought a deal would consider buying from GrabOne again.

What’s more, three quarters (75%) of businesses who had used the site said GrabOne was more effective than listing their business on online directories such as Yellow or Finda. Over three quarters (77%) also said advertising on GrabOne was either more effective or about the same as running a paid radio advertisement or promotion in terms of benefits to their business.

Ninety-four per cent of businesses who had used GrabOne before would consider running another deal on the site. Those same merchants were planning on spending more than 30% of their advertising and marketing budget on daily deals over the next 12 months.

GrabOne CEO and Founder Shane Bradley says it is great to receive such positive feedback from the businesses GrabOne is involved with, and heartening to hear how well the site is resonating with ‘Grabbies’ on the other side of the fence.

“We started this business because we saw a real gap in the market to make great products and services more attainable for new customers at great prices – and it’s really working,” he says. “The GrabOne model having proven so effective for our customers and merchants alike is a win-win scenario for all.”

The research has helped GrabOne refine their strategies and their plans for the future.

“The feedback has certainly reinforced some big projects that we are currently working on,” adds Bradley. “As well as helping us improve the consumer and merchant GrabOne experience we’re also working to make our deals more relevant, improving on delivery and developing new redemption and payment options for Grabbies.

“Our Grabbies also asked for more deals within specific categories so that’s what we are doing. GrabOne is currently hiring more great Grabsters (employees) around New Zealand enabling us to continue our work at a local level and help with the launch of new verticals which are just around the corner!”

About the Survey:
• GrabOne surveyed over 6671 grabbies and merchants during the month of July 2011
• Of the businesses surveyed 22 per cent had offered two deals and a further 22 per cent had offered three or more deals.
• Of customers surveyed, 84 per cent had purchased a deal on the site, with 32 per cent having purchased more than six coupons.
