There has been widespread media coverage regarding the new formulation of Twinings Earl Grey in the United Kingdom. Not everyone is entirely happy with the changes made, and in response to demand, Twinings UK has re-introduced the original Earl Grey blend – Earl Grey: The Classic Edition – for its UK consumers.
The Bell Tea & Coffee Company (BTCC), which distributes Twinings Tea in New Zealand, wishes to confirm that no such changes have been made to Twinings Earl Grey in New Zealand.
In fact, Twinings in New Zealand is actually looking to create a new Earl Grey blend especially for the New Zealand market, but this will be an addition to the range. It certainly wont replace the current classic.
“The details of this exciting new campaign will be launched shortly,” says BTCC marketing manager, Jessica Bailey.
