Ground-breaking customer reporting system

---- For immediate release ----

EnviroWaste’s ground-breaking customer reporting system lets customers better manage their waste volumes.

Auckland, New Zealand – September 26, 2011 –

A first-of-its-kind information-sharing system will soon give EnviroWaste’s key customers the chance to better keep track of what they’re throwing away – providing a technological solution to the difficult job of monitoring waste for companies that are trying to operate more sustainably.

The system called Intell OnDemand from business intelligence company iQ4Bis, will give external customers access to accurate, timely and well-organised information within EnviroWaste’s own corporate data. And the simplicity of the user interface means non-technical staff can pull-up and interpret the information without having to go through their IT department.

Through a simple, but iron cladded security log-in screen hosted on the cloud, EnviroWaste clients will be able to see the latest information instantly.

Historically, static reports were generated, with data aggregated from a number of disparate systems. This typically meant customers waited for 15 or more days for their reports. The reports also typically threw up more questions than answers.

Since Intell Ondemand authenticates users in the cloud, it tackles the complexities involved of allowing external clients access to internal systems head on, avoiding the need to implement and manage a whole new security system. The data is stored safely behind the corporate firewall, with EnviroWaste customers simply accessing only the information relevant to their company.

EnviroWaste Finance Director Earl Gasparich says the system will help their corporate and government clients become more accountable and tackle holes in their waste management.

The dynamism of the system also means companies can view their waste record in a broad sense, or drill down for detail to see how much waste each of their offices are throwing away, how much is being sent to landfill or recycled.

This can be used to compare previous quarters or years, between branches and analyse unusually large or small numbers.

By offering the next level in information, Gasparich hopes to arm their customers with the information to identify weak spots in their waste reduction and management, and even find ways to divert their waste, saving money and the environment.

QUOTES:

EnviroWaste Finance Director Earl Gasparich:

“Large corporations increasingly have sustainability targets and in many cases a nominated sustainability manager, whose job it is to know what they’re disposing of, where it’s going and how it’s being disposed of.”

“In the past, these managers were relying on static reports that very often raised as many questions as they answered.”

“Giving our clients the ability to view standard reports and easily create their own dynamic reports puts the power back in their hands.”

“It means they can get right down into the information and identify areas for improvement in their own organisation. And then if they need to make changes, having the numbers there in black and white means it’ll be easier to get buy-in from their staff.”

EnviroWaste National Key Account Manager Steven Yates:

“With other systems it’s a major palaver to get into. With Intell OnDemand, our clients just go to what is essentially their own log in screen, and it lets them view their own information.”

“We can do that with Intel OnDemand because the system authenticates our clients in the cloud, linking them directly to the elements of our corporate data they have access to.

“With anything like this, security is crucial and normally you’d have to implement and manage a whole new security solution, which is less than ideal.

“But this way, our data stays safely behind our corporate firewall and as far as our client is concerned it’s as seamless and easy as logging in to Facebook or Hotmail.”

“And then once the client’s into the data, the process of arranging and analysing it is simple. It’s so intuitive to use that you really only need to show someone the basics and they’ll be able to navigate through their data to pull up the reports that are really going to add to their work”.

iQ4Bis MD Asj Smith:

“It’s a unique system in that it’s empowering the customers to directly access to their own information. Then it’s a simple matter of just drilling down and asking and answering their own questions, when they want it, and without having to depend on IT.
