If you would like to sample the best of Farmers Markets NZ's food producers then register your interest now for limited places at the public tasting, and you to could be sampling the real grass roots food producers of NZ.

Producers will be judged in their selected categories (kitchen bench, water, butchery, paddock and dairy), Jonny Schwass says that “Food that tastes of where it is from has provenance. It is ingredient focused and not technique driven. New Zealand food is still to be discovered by most New Zealanders.” Over 70% of localvore's when asked why they like shopping at their local Farmers' Markets said freshness was the key - other reasons included
