HSAGlobal appoints New
Zealand Country Manager to support growth
Connected Care specialist HSAGlobal has appointed Vidhya Makam as Country Manager for New Zealand.
HSAGlobal is currently engaged in six major programmes of work across New Zealand, Australia and Singapore to provide integrated care solutions and consulting services. Vidhya is responsible for the implementation and technical teams delivering HSAGlobal’s Collaborative Care Management Solution (CCMS) to customers in New Zealand. She joins Country Managers already in place for both Singapore and Australia.
Vidhya joined HSAGlobal as Implementation
Consultant in January, having most recently held the role of
CIO at Hawke’s Bay District Health Board.
“Vidhya
has a deep insight into the enabling role that IT plays in
the healthcare sector,” says HSAGlobal CEO Matt
Hector-Taylor. “She has very specific technical and
project management skills coupled with a big picture view of
the complex health system and how various people and
organisations work together in achieving the desired patient
outcomes. This strategic vision and change management
expertise, coupled with Vidhya’s technology and service
delivery background are vitally important as our business
continues to grow. New Zealand is a critical reference point
for us as we start to help healthcare systems in other
countries transform the way care is delivered for patients
with long-term conditions, across primary, secondary and
community healthcare providers.”
Vidhya says: “The
health sector is in a state of transformational change where
there is growing pressure to rethink how care is delivered
and managed. Working in the health sector is my passion, and
this role at HSAGlobal gives me an opportunity, using the
CCMS solution, to enable and support the implementation of
new models of care and the sharing of information and care
between providers from various settings.”
In New
Zealand, HSAGlobal provides:
• the platforms for the
National Shared Care Plan Project in Auckland, Counties
Manukau and Waitemata DHBs;
• the Canterbury
Collaborative Care Programme, including the CREST early
supported discharge programme and other initiatives
supporting high needs patients in the District with an
implementation supporting palliative care in South
Canterbury DHB also under way;
• the software
supporting the Exceptional Circumstances and Pharmacy High
needs Adherence Management Service (PHAMS) application and
approval workflows as part of the Community Pharmacy Service
Agreement (CPSA);
• capability to be used in the
delivery of a shared Medications Management Plan for
eligible Long-Term Conditions patients under the CPSA;
• solutions for several other initiatives in primary
care, aged care and social care.
Vidhya is a
certified PRINCE2 practitioner, with Leadership and Change
Management Training and certification from the NZ Institute
of Management. She holds a Master’s of Science (Chemistry)
and is ITIL certified.
