P3 Foundation joins with prominent development organisations

P3 Foundation is proud to announce partnerships with Save the Children New Zealand and Partners Relief and Development New Zealand.

P3 Foundation is a youth-led New Zealand development organisation empowering young people to eradicate extreme poverty in the Asia Pacific.

The Foundation is teaming up with Save the Children NZ on their project Better Literacy for Academic Results (BELAJAR), operating in the Belu district of the Nusa Tenggara Timor (NTT) province of Indonesia.

A partnership has also been formed with Partners Relief & Development NZ and their Shan Sustainable Schools Program in Burma.

P3 Foundation’s Chief International Development Officer, Bex Silver, believes the partnerships are an exciting step forward for P3 Foundation, and will mean significant progress towards its vision.

“Building long-lasting partnerships with other grassroots organisations means that together we can make a real step towards ending poverty within this generation. Save the Children has been an important part of the New Zealand spirit for over 60 years, with both organisations at the forefront of development world-wide.

“Partnership with P3 Foundation means the nominated partner projects will accumulate funding from P3 Foundation’s Live Below the Line Campaign. In 2012 this generated more than $50,000.

With a dedicated team of almost 200 volunteers, and a growing support base, Ms Silver says the organisation is aiming higher than ever for this year’s campaign.

“With these two exciting new partnerships, P3 Foundation is aiming to raise more than $100,000 for each organization over a three year period!”

Live Below the Line will be running in September this year, and people are encouraged to get out and support these new partnerships by supporting the campaign.
