Home Direct appoints e-commerce manager to drive online growth

New Zealand’s leading direct selling retailer, Home Direct, has appointed Zib Campbell as e-commerce manager to support the growth of the company’s online retail channel.

Ms Campbell joins Home Direct following roles at online retailer Torpedo7, as a buying systems manager based in Hamilton before moving to China in a product manager role.

Prior to Torpedo7, Ms Campbell gained experience across various aspects of buying and product management, including sourcing, design and manufacturing from offshore factories. She also worked for a boutique mountain biking clothing brand and helped to grow the company from a single retail store to an international wholesaling operation.

Home Direct general manager Jodi Comrie says the skills and experience Ms Campbell brings to the role will be invaluable to helping Home Direct develop its e-commerce platform into a market leading customer experience.

“With the launch of our online store last year we are now focused on driving the strategic growth of this channel, and Zib forms an integral part of that plan,” says Ms Comrie.

Ms Campbell’s main roles and responsibilities will be to manage the online retail channel by driving sales, making commercial decisions and analysing trends in the marketplace to identify growth opportunities.

In her spare time Ms Campbell enjoys getting involved in yacht racing on Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf and getting out and about in New Zealand’s great outdoors. She hopes to race from Auckland to Fiji next year.
