Quickflix Launch App for Nokia Windows 8 Devices

Quickflix Launch App for Nokia Windows 8 Devices

‘Kid’s Corner’ integration allows children to watch latest TV shows safely and securely while on the move.

Quickflix, New Zealand's online movie service, today announces the launch of its new app for Nokia Windows 8 Devices, giving TV and movie lovers – as well as children – more ways to watch the content they love.

Available to download free from the Nokia Collection and the Windows Phone Store, the app allows Quickflix subscribers to stream a wide variety of movies and TV shows, direct to their handset, unlimited and on demand.

And to cater to families, the app integrates with Nokia’s ‘Kid’s Corner’, a lockeddown part of the smartphone where children can securely access different games and apps, without fear of changing the settings.

Parents simply need to ‘pin’ the Quickflix app to Kid’s Corner in order to access a wide-range of streamed TV shows aimed specifically at children, ranging from Bob the Builder, to Fifi and the Flowertots and Charlie and Lola.

Quickflix NZ Managing Director Paddy Buckley said: “We know from parents that long car journeys or trips out mean young children often want entertaining while on the move. Our new app, along with the Kid’s Corner integration, offers the perfect solution, giving children access to a wide range of quality and educational TV shows.

www.quickflix.co.nz “And it’s not just the kids who benefit; adults can also choose from a wide range of new release and classic TV shows and movies to watch on demand, when and wherever they want.” For maximum flexibility, Quickflix customers can stream to a wide variety of other devices including smart TVs and Blu-ray players, game consoles, iPads and other tablets, Samsung Galaxy devices, as well as laptops and desktops.
