Firstline Presenter Update


Today is Rachel Smalley’s final day presenting Firstline

Firstline’s regular back-up presenter Simon Shepherd will host the programme for the week beginning Monday 26 August, and will share presenting duties until a permanent replacement is appointed.

Rachel will continue to present The Nation on TV3 for the rest of this season.

TV3 Director of News and Current Affairs, Mark Jennings said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Rachel’s work for 3 News.

“Rachel was our first European correspondent, and her hard work and dedication played a key part in making Firstline New Zealand’s premium early morning news option. She leaves the programme in excellent shape.”
