KCE Manager wins Contact Centre Manager of the Year
KCE’s Retail Business Manager, Helen Peacock, has been awarded the 2013 Contact Centre Manager of the Year Award (under 50 seats) by the Contact Centre Institute of New Zealand (CCiNZ).
The award was announced to a crowd of 750 of the country’s top call centre administrators and staff at the Institute’s annual award dinner at Sky City Convention Centre on 20 September.
CCiNZ Chair and award judge, Nadene Gavigan,
said the awards judges thought Helen was very deserving of
the award.
“The award nomination and judging process is
extremely demanding as the judging panel accesses many
different aspects of each nominee’s role and their impact
on the overall business. Throughout the judging process,
Helen and her team impressed us at every turn.
“We chose her as the winner above all finalist because she demonstrated a strategic vision, plus it was evident she and her staff touch all parts of the KCE business – they are not an isolated team. Additionally, Helen clearly demonstrated a track record of business improvement and cost savings. And above all, her passion for KCE customers and the desire to provide them with excellent service outshone the other finalists,” explained Nadene.
From the company’s base in Taumarunui, Helen manages a retail team of 20, which includes ten customer service representatives, six meter readers, three commercial business account managers and an administrator.
She joined KCE in 1992 in the role of Engineering Office Manager. Since that time, she has worked as Call Centre Manager and Customer Service Manager. She took up her current role as Retail Business Manager in 2009.
KCE Chief Executive Officer, Rob Foster, said, “This is a significant achievement for Helen, her retail team and the wider business. This award highlights Helen’s outstanding leadership as well as the excellent team camaraderie within KCE’s retail business. She is absolutely deserving of this recognition and the entire KCE team is extremely proud of her.”
