Telecom treats prepaid customers over summer once again

Telecom treats prepaid customers over summer once again

Responding to hot demand over social media, Telecom is once again shouting its prepaid customers free Telecom-to-Telecom calling this summer.

Chief Marketing Officer, Jason Paris said that Telecom was keen to give its mobile customers a treat over the holiday season and so the telco has decided to bring back the popular free calling for Telecom prepaid customers to call any Telecom mobile and New Zealand landlines.

“We were overwhelmed with the positive response from our customers to the free calling last year and so decided to offer it as a summer treat once again. This year we are extending it to all of our prepaid customers.

“The Kiwi summer is all about catching up with friends and family and making the most of the long, hot summer days. We want to make sure our mobile customers have everything they need to connect with those they love most and they told us that free-calling is a great way to do this.”

Telecom prepaid customers can now take advantage of the free calling for one-month each time they top up between now and 31 January, 2014. All they have to do is top up $20 or more, and they will be able to call Telecom mobiles and New Zealand landlines for a month.

Mr Paris said, “We’re also aware that a lot of our customers prefer to connect online and thanks to over 700 WiFi zones located around the country, our customers can access social media, email, news – whatever it is they want to over the summer.”

Last month Telecom announced that its national WiFi network would be free to all its mobile customers on pay-monthly plans and on the $19 and $29 prepaid packs.

A complete list of WiFi zones and more information on registration can be found on Telecom’s website at telecom.co.nz/wifi.

This impending festive season Telecom is also celebrating 20-years of providing a direct line between Kiwi kids and the North Pole with Santaline once again open for business in 2013. Kids across the country can now call Santa free from any landline, phonebox, or Telecom mobile on 0800 22 22 22 up until 25 December, 2013.
