Recall of LOCKON Towbars for Ford Territory

3 February 2014

Recall of LOCKON Towbars for Ford Territory

Towbar Express is recalling all LOCKON towbars manufactured for the Ford Territory.

Anyone with a Ford Territory with a LOCKON towbar fitted should STOP TOWING until the towbar has been replaced. In total, 184 towbars are being recalled.

Under certain conditions there is the possibility of the towbar breaking. The recall was triggered after an incident involving a caravan coming loose. No one was injured, and property damage was minor.

Free replacement of the towbar can be arranged through the company that fitted the towbar or by contacting Towbar Express directly on free phone 0508 666 000. The name of the company that fitted the towbar can be found on the towbar load rating label. Towbars are labelled with a distinctive yellow and black LOCKON logo
