Local Baby Formula Maker NuZtri joins Infant Nutrition Council

Christchurch, New Zealand:

Locally owned Best Health Products Limited producers of NuZtri Premium Formula and fortified Milk Powder products announced today it has been accepted into the Infant Nutrition Council of Australia and New Zealand (INC). On the 20th February this year, Jan Carey, CEO of the Infant Nutrition Council visited the Best Health Limited’s Head Office and RMP facility (Risk Management Program) in Christchurch to view the operation and sign the agreement.

“After successfully completing INC’s assessment we are truly delighted to be approved as an associated member of this prestigious Infant Nutrition Organisation”, said Craig Calder General Manager of NuZtri.

The Infant Nutrition Council’s objective is to improve infant nutrition by supporting the public health goals for the protection and promotion of breastfeeding and, when needed infant formula as the only suitable alternative. INC is the key industry stakeholder in infant Nutrition and works closely with the government and other stakeholders to set the standard for the safety and integrity of New Zealand's infant formula.

“NuZtri supports the aims and objectives of the Infant Nutrition Council, all members must strictly adhere to the INC Code of Conduct which ensures industry best practice for marketing, regulatory compliance and the promotion of breastfeeding. We have worked hard to ensure our brand NuZtri provides mothers with adequate and truthful product information so they can be assured of making the right choice for their infants health and Nutrition”, Craig said.

“Proper use of an infant formula is paramount to the health of the infant and NuZtri advocates for , sufficient information on all product packaging to ensure that consumers can select products that are suitable to the dietary needs of their non-breast infant”, Craig Calder General Manager of NuZtri said.
The Infant Nutrition Council’s Code of Practice for the Marketing of Infant Formula in New Zealand is a voluntary self-regulatory code of conduct which applies to all companies represented by INC.
NuZtri is a New Zealand made formula milk for infants and young children as well as vitamin fortified milk powder for older children, adults and the elderly under NuZtri® brand.
