Boatsurfers.com Sponsoring Yacht Clubs in New Zealand

MEDIA ALERT: Boatsurfers.com Sponsoring Yacht Clubs in New Zealand

More people on more boats more often is the stated goal of Rowan Alexander, CEO and Founder of Boatsurfers.com, and he's following through by sponsoring boating and yacht clubs across New Zealand to help them gain new members.

Rowan is offering free Boatsurfers.com memberships for select yacht clubs to give to their members, and as an incentive for them to attract new people to their clubs.

"Talking with a lot of yacht clubs presidents and committees, I've found their biggest challenge is to attract new members." says Rowan,

"One of the biggest challenges for the clubs and the individual boat owners is that there isn't always enough people who are able to be crew when people want to take their boats out. One of the biggest goals of Boatsurfers.com is to help solve that problem, so it just seems like a natural move from here to help out the individual boat clubs and grow the boating community."

“An interesting study suggested that boat owners in New Zealand on average only take their boat out 6 times every year. Another study showed that the biggest reason why people sell their boats is because they didn’t get enough use out of it. We want to solve that problem and help people without boats get into the boating community. These people are happy to help with costs or will happily clean the fish.”

"We're really trying to support the local clubs, and being a Whangarei boy and proud Kiwi, I am making sure we are supporting as many clubs in New Zealand as possible."

Boatsurfers.com is launching in New Zealand and Australia on the 1st July and with the normal membership price at $47, the sponsorship in some cases amounts to hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of memberships for individual clubs.
