Syl Semantics Appoints Shaun Walters

Syl Semantics Appoints Auckland-based Business Development Executive, Shaun Walters

Wellington-based software company Syl Semantics (Syl) has appointed Shaun Walters to a newly created role of Auckland Business Development Executive.

Shaun has joined Syl to support Syl’s rapidly growing Auckland client base. Shaun has over 16 years’ experience in ICT in New Zealand and abroad, including senior roles in sales management, channel management and business development. He joins Syl from Gen-i, with previous roles at a number of organisations including Auckland based Security and Networking firm ESP, Philips Europe, Crane Telecommunications, NEC UK Limited and CommSoft.

Syl’s Managing Director Sean Wilson said, “Shaun has a great track record in business development and channel management. He is a fantastic addition to our team at a time when Syl is receiving unprecedented levels of interest from the commercial sector on the back of our success with Government and the Public Sector.

Shaun’s appointment follows recent appointments including Lindsay Renwick, Wellington Business Development Executive; John Holt, Chairman; and Andrew Hull, Chief Operating Officer, as Syl gears up to execute a growth plan to take the company’s innovative enterprise search and information management solutions to offshore markets.
