Magic Memories in photo partnership with FCBarcelona

Queenstown-based photographic solutions company, Magic Memories, is celebrating the success of a new guest experience developed in partnership with internationally famous and globally recognized Futbol Club Barcelona (FCBarcelona).

Magic Memories has worked alongside FCBarcelona to create an entirely new photography guest experience designed to capture the passion of the guests and to accurately record its long and distinguished history as a visitor to the Museum and Stadium Tour, Camp Nou or as a supporter on match days.

Magic Memories has always believed that the guest experience is at the heart of any successful attraction and that photography is the essential part of preserving these experiences.

With the 1.6m guests visiting the FCB Museum and Stadium Tour each year the FCB Museum is the world’s most popular and highly visited Football Museum and with this came a huge responsibility to ensure that the Magic Memories operation opened on time, worked to plan and delivered a world class product day one.

This provided Magic Memories with an incredibly exciting challenge and one that was achieved to a level of excellence our partners expect of Magic Memories.

Yigal Lenti, Head of Retail and Concessions at FCB said “we are delighted with the performance of Magic Memories in FCB this summer, they have delivered on their promises and achieved beyond our commercial expectations” on the question of the guest experience Yigal added “our guests are clearly engaged in the Museum and Stadium Tour experience and Magic Memories has worked with us to ensure that photography is part of that journey, one they can enjoy today and share with friends and family when they return home”.

In partnership, Magic Memories and FCBarcelona developed a panoramic souvenir story photo book to capture the FCBarcelona experience along with a completely new retail model to ensure that guests felt involved and part of the Camp Nou experience.

Magic Memories is using industry first GuestID technology to capture guests images at all of the photo points which automatically collates and prints into a personalized story photobook ready for the guest to view and purchase and then delivers these online. Yigal Lenti added “we chose Magic Memories to work with us on the photo operation because we were impressed with their attitude, their creative process, their ideas and how fast they were able to develop new technology to enhance the guest experience”

Ben Thomas, Global Sales Director for Magic Memories said, “it is an honour and privilege to work with such a professional and dedicated team in FCBarcelona. Phase one is now working to plan so we are now working on new photo experiences for FCBarcelona’s guests due to launch in 2015 that will continue to deliver a world class experience and continue to delight, this is what we do and what we love doing for our partners and their guests”
