Crowdfunding crowdfunding: PledgeMe set to crowdfund itself

Crowdfunding crowdfunding: PledgeMe set to crowdfund itself

New Zealand’s crowdfunding platform, PledgeMe is set to start equity crowdfunding itself this today, PledgeMe CEO Anna Guenther said.

“PledgeMe is crowdfunding crowdfunding,” Ms Guenther said.

“By engaging our crowd of supporters, building out our core team, and making the site more accessible, we'll be able to grow — and simultaneously grow New Zealand’s vibrant crowdfunding scene.”

“PledgeMe has a unique position in the New Zealand crowdfunding market. We were the first project crowdfunding platform and one of the first companies to start equity crowdfunding. We are the only company doing both.”

PledgeMe has a solid track record of success with over 700 successful projects raising almost $3 million in just over two years.

“We’ve proven there is a strong demand and growing market for crowdfunding in New Zealand.

“On the back of our trusted and growing brand, we offer both a potential return on investment as well as some pretty cool rewards.”

PledgeMe will be raising up to $100,000 by selling just under 15 percent of the company.

Ms Guenther said that investing in PledgeMe was easy and affordable to ensure that the company’s huge crowd all have a chance to buy shares.

“At $20 a share this is an affordable investment for anyone out there who has used PledgeMe to fund a project or business, or who has pledged on one of projects or companies,” Ms Guenther said.

“We want to grow our crowdfunding company with our crowd.
