Kennards Hire New Zealand ¬Tops the Class

Kennards Hire New Zealand ¬Tops the Class

Kennards Hire is one of Australia’s leading equipment hire companies. The move to New Zealand two years ago was the company’s first foray into the international market, and the Kennards Hire New Zealand team have gone from strength to strength ever since. Their latest success; tertiary accreditation with Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP), is perhaps the biggest source of pride for the business so far.

WSMP recognises medium to large businesses that have implemented effective health and safety systems and practices in their workplaces. There are three levels of accreditation; secondary, primary and tertiary. Only a very small percentage of businesses applying for WSMP accreditation receive a tertiary level on their first attempt, and Kennards Hire NZ did exactly that.

Tom Kinross, General Manager of Kennards Hire New Zealand is thrilled with the level of workplace responsibility displayed by his staff and managers.

“WSMP accreditation is satisfying for Kennards Hire on a number of levels,” Kinross explained. “It is an affirmation from a highly respected industry body that we are doing the right things in terms of looking after our employees and customers. It places us in the upper echelon of companies in terms of safety, which in turn makes us a top contender for those considering hire companies for large scale jobs. That’s the space we occupy in Australia, and now that is the space we will occupy on both North and South islands of New Zealand.” He concluded.
