Yeastie Boys to equity crowdfund with PledgeMe

Yeastie Boys to equity crowdfund with PledgeMe

Internationally renowned brewers Yeastie Boys is set to launch an equity crowdfunding campaign with PledgeMe early next year.

“PledgeMe is proud to announce Yeastie Boys, one of New Zealand’s iconic craft beer brands, is going out to its crowd for investment on 28 January 2015,” PledgeMe CEO Anna Guenther said today.

“Yeastie Boys has a great brand with a unique style in both beer and marketing. The brewery has been a supporter of PledgeMe for a while, even brewing us a special blue beer when we were granted our equity crowdfunding license.”

Ms Guenther said Yeastie Boys has a big crowd who are thirsty to become investors.

“Yeastie Boys has a large and loyal crowd who have been pestering Stu and Sam for a long time to let them investment.

“PledgeMe is really interested to see how Yeastie Boys’ crowd gets involved. They are a much loved company in the craft beer community and they inspire fierce brand loyalty.

“We’re really looking forward to Yeastie Boys supporters getting the chance to own a bit of a company they love,” Ms Guenther said.

Yeastie Boys’ Creative Director, Stu McKinlay said equity crowdfunding is the perfect way for the company to to raise capital for their plans to expand in Britain.

“We’re looking for people who want to high-five and hug at AGM’s rather than people who want little more than for us to make them more paper,” Mr McKinlay said.

“Equity crowdfunding is a step back to the traditional ways that businesses started – friends, family and a whole lot of passionate people who actually want to make the world a better place while they drink great beer and make a few dollars.”

About Yeastie Boys
Yeastie Boys is an award-winning Wellington-based brewing company, without their own brewery, who brew super-premium beer all over the world (from Suffolk, through Boston and Adelaide, to Invercargill). The brainchild of Stu McKinlay and Sam Possenniskie - two of New Zealand's leading beer activists and visionaries – the Yeastie Boys have been picking up trophies, poking their tongues out at convention, and receiving critical acclaim since their launch in 2008.

The Yeastie Boys are left-field enough to be one of the few breweries who regularly receive hate mail (for their infamous Rex Attitude) but are pleased to report they occasionally receive love letters too! Their beers are available in New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, USA, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Japan and United Kingdom.
