Wednesday, 14 January 2015:
Countdown has issued a voluntary recall of Homebrand Sliced Black Olives 430g sold in Countdown, Fresh Choice and SuperValue stores nationwide from 1 August 2014 to 12 January 2015 with a best before date of 4 July 2016.

This product is being recalled as it may contain glass and could pose a health risk if consumed. Countdown has not received any report of injuries associated with this recall.

Consumers should return the product to their nearest Countdown, SuperValue or FreshChoice store for a full refund. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

The recall applies only to Homebrand Sliced Black Olives 430g with a best before date of 4 July 2016. No other products are affected by this recall.

Countdown apologises for any inconvenience caused by this recall. Customers can call the toll-free customer service number for more information on 0800 40 40 40.
