National Maintenance Engineering Conference Steps Up

National Maintenance Engineering Conference Steps Up To a New Level.

The organisers of the National Maintenance Engineering Conference have announced a major step up for the iconic event with a move to an expanded venue and a strengthened relationship with the event sponsor. The Maintenance Engineering Society (MESNZ) has announced a 3 year agreement with global supplier SKF as well as a move to Hamilton’s Claudelands Event Centre for the November event. According to Event Director Craig Carlyle, “As more engineers discover the work of the society and the benefits of the conference, we have had to strive to cater to their needs. Claudelands is a whole new level and we are excited about the possibilities and proud to welcome SKF onboard to help deliver those benefits to industry.”

The Claudelands venue offers a world class exhibition hall and conference plenum as well as multiple break out and training rooms. Carlyle adds, “Our goal is to develop a maintenance engineering ‘village’ during the conference week, delivering networking, training, suppliers, solution providers, experts and peers. Claudelands will allow us to deliver all those resources to engineers and industry.”

Planning for the 2015 SKF National Maintenance Engineering Conference is well underway, with registration, exhibition and major sponsorship slots filling up already for the November 18,19 event. Last year’s record 200+ attendees are expected to be eclipsed this year alongside an Exhibition Hall that will accept a boosted level of local and international industry suppliers.

As a non-profit society the organisers have worked hard to retain the unique NMEC flavour that has proved so popular and the event still retains the lowest participation cost of any two plus day event of its kind. As well as the conference proceedings, attendees can also sign up for elective training courses and an industry field trip. For 2015 the organisers are keen to assemble as many industry training providers as possible to enhance the opportunities for attendees.

The switch to Claudelands is backed up with an accommodation package at the Novotel/Ibis complex including a nonstop shuttle service. Attendees can continue to expect plenty of world class industry and maintenance focused attention, information and inspiration to take back to their workplaces.
