Argent Motor Lodge in Hamilton to be sold

Award-winning, Accommodation Provider Argent Motor Lodge in Hamilton to be sold.

In a special announcement today, award-winning and Hamilton’s number one accommodation provider Argent Motor Lodge is officially on the market.

“This is the opportunity of a lifetime for someone who wants to take on a multi award-winning business where financial upside and potential is still very much possible,” says Clare Gallagher, who is the co-owner of Argent Motor Lodge in partnership with her husband, Richard.
Established in February 2012, Argent Motor Lodge is a mid-size 4.5 star rated motel which provides high quality and spacious accommodation to visitors to the Waikato region.

Bordering Waikato Hospital, one of the largest tertiary hospitals in Australasia, and only 350 metres from Braemar Hospital, Argent Motor Lodge provides superior accommodation options with its apartment style rooms for people seeking emergency, short or long term, or holiday accommodation.

Argent Motor Lodge is not your typical motel. Constructed in a ‘U’ shape design which promotes a sense of safety and security, the sound proof construction is second to none which ensures a quiet, peaceful stay.

Constructed in very low maintenance, modern materials, Argent Motor Lodge is purpose built, of world class construction and design.

It consists of 12 studios, 5 one bedrooms and 1 two bedroom apartments.

“We have made the decision to sell because we believe that now is the right time,” says Clare. “With Hilda Ross House, the accommodation wing of Waikato Hospital with 70 beds, closing this year and Braemar Hospital currently in its next phase of expansion ready for the aging population, Argent Motor Lodge will become even busier than it currently is and give the new owner real stability to their cash flow,” says Clare.

Argent Motor Lodge is the only accommodation provider that can advertise on the 72 Waikato Hospital monitors to more than 6000 staff and patients.

Potential new owners will get an award-winning motel with an established and well-known brand in the accommodation market. Argent Motor Lodge recently won the Travellers Choice Award for excellence in customer service for the third year in a row. Argent Motor Lodge has also been named the AA Traveller Supreme Host of the Year for New Zealand 2014 and won the prestigious "Emerging Business of the Year" title at the prestigious 2014 Westpac Waikato Business Excellence Awards in Hamilton. Qualmark has also rated Argent Motor Lodge as 4 Star-Plus.

Argent Motor Lodge is also currently ranked number one on Tripadvisor and ranks an exceptional 9.6/10 on

Argent Motor Lodge is also very active in supporting the local community through social giving and as such has built up an outstanding reputation in the community.

Argent Motor Lodge is ideally located close to Hamilton’s city centre, Central Business District, café and restaurant precinct and is only minutes away from both Hamilton’s Waikato and Braemar Hospitals.

Richard and Clare always had a plan for Argent and for themselves and the success of the motel has given them the ability to now look towards their other goals - for business and for their family.

Argent is now listed on TradeMe and Resort brokers:
