Radar Failure Grounds Air Flights

At 2.48pm today 23/6/15 we experienced a radar failure. We are working on the issue, and will provide an update.

We are holding all aircraft on the ground, however those in the air will be cleared to land.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the radar issue affecting flights across New Zealand.

[Social media posts from passengers after 4pm suggest planes are now preparing to fly.]

Update: Airways Network Failure

An internal network failure occurred at approximately 14.41 today. Airways immediately suspended all flights while we investigated the issue and until we could be satisfied that we could operate safely...

We resumed limited operations at 16:00 and expect to resume full service by 16:30. More>>
