You’ve Got It Made! Campaign Launch

Be sure you look out for ‘Got a Trade? Got it Made!’, a dynamic new marketing campaign that highlights the fantastic opportunities and real value that a career in services or trades offers young New Zealanders.

ServiceIQ has teamed up with six other Industry Training Organisations to get behind the campaign and get the message out there. The focus is young people and those who help them choose an appropriate career path.

Using real people telling real-life success stories

The campaign stars talented young achievers who are making fantastic careers in tourism, retail, hospitality and aviation.

ServiceIQ CEO Dean Minchington says Got a Trade? Got it Made! demonstrates that on-job learning is a viable and exciting option for school leavers as well as those looking to change careers.

“Starting anywhere, in any of the service sectors, can give you a great job, a life-long career, and a pathway to the top of the profession,” says Dean.

The campaign also dispels the idea that university is the only path to career satisfaction and success.

Dean says: “Thousands of New Zealanders have chosen to build enduring careers by earning as they learn – working alongside experienced experts, gaining real practical and theoretical skills, and learning to solve real problems in real business environments.”

You can be especially proud of a trade qualification.

Got a Trade? Got it Made! mixes online, social and mainstream media to reach its target audience of 17-24 year olds, as well as those who influence the younger demographic such as parents and teachers.

The national campaign runs throughout August, culminating in a week of high profile multimedia and event activity from the 21st. You’ll be able to see the action online, TV and print, and you’ll be able to hear all about it on radio.
